The Stoop by Calzedonia

The Stoop by Calzedonia took over 188 Lafayette Street in SoHo for two days of New York Fashion Week, as a free place to sit down between shows.

Calzedonia is the Italian tights and swimwear brand, and the pop-up was built around the product it is best known for. Guests could buy a pair of tights from a vending machine and have them embroidered on the spot for free, which is the sort of thing that only works in person and is why the brand took a storefront rather than buying more billboards.

The rest of the room was set up for the week everyone was having: a station to touch up hair and makeup, a photo booth, and iced lattes to get people to the next show. The name was the idea in miniature - a New York stoop is where you stop, sit and watch the street go past, which is exactly what Fashion Week never lets anyone do.

Open to the public, no ticket needed, Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 5pm.
