Sweetfeet, the Lower East Side performance sock brand, opens the Sweetfeet Candy Shop at 213 Bowery for NYC Marathon week.
Sweetfeet makes compression socks engineered for athletes and movers: moisture-wicking, true compression, and built to outlast hard days, with a buy-a-pair, give-a-pair model. The brand has no retail storefront of its own, so it makes itself tangible through immersive pop-ups. After transforming bodegas and corner pizza shops, this one is its spin on a retro, nostalgic New York City candy shop, built to show the sweeter side of running.
What to expect: race-week running gear and Sweetfeet socks in a candy-shop setting, with two shakeout runs from the shop. On Friday, October 30, Sweetfeet, Takeoff and STORM host a free shakeout run, meeting at 7:30am and setting off at 7:45am. On Saturday, October 31, Create and Sweetfeet host a 5K, with arrival, warm-up and Create sampling from 8:30am and the run at 9am. The route goes to registered runners.
