Build or Break, Art of Failure

September 3–5, 2026 22 Wooster Street

KIND Snacks founder and Shark Tank investor Daniel Lubetzky brought The Art of Failure Gallery to 22 Wooster Street in SoHo for three days in September 2026, an immersive pop-up exhibition marking the launch of his new podcast, Build or Break.

Where most business stories skip straight to the win, the gallery flipped the success story on its head. Designed by creative agency this will be good, it treated rejections, missteps and professional disasters as museum artifacts, with an audio-visual walk-through tracing the moments that could have broken some of today's best-known entrepreneurs and leaders, and instead built them.

On display:

Barbara Corcoran's fight for the Tank: the actual email she sent to Mark Burnett fighting for her Shark Tank seat after it was nearly given away.

Matthew McConaughey's runner-up prize: his childhood "Little Mr. Texas" photograph, tied to a lifelong realization about losing.

Mark Cuban's fine collection: genuine fine notices issued to the billionaire during his years in the NBA.

The Setback Archives: private diaries, rejected product prototypes and handwritten notes from Kendra Scott, Danny Meyer and Andrew Yang.

The Art of Failure Gallery made the case that failure is not the opposite of success but the raw material for it, and gave New Yorkers a rare look at the setbacks behind the world's most successful founders.
