Heads and Hands: Men of the 20th Century
Lower East Side Gallery
April 28 - May 3, 2014
Opening: April 30, 6 - 9 PM
Closing: May 3, 2 - 6 PM
A new solo installation of Dora Frost called “Heads and Hands: Men of the 20th Century” curated by Pamela Willoughby of Willoughby Projects opens on the Bowery.
The New York artist will show sixty black-and-white portrait drawings of men, from their teens through their sixties, considered to be leading contributors to the arts, sciences and public life. In highlighting the heads and hands of the men, Frost offers arresting depictions of some of the most famous of their times with names you may recognize but faces not necessarily so.
