Mexican muralist Jorge Tellaeche is having his first solo show in New York City. The exhibition consists of a live performance titled “I Will Stay Here... A Little Bit Longer”, in which Tellaeche creates a mural in front of an audience of passerby’s for the duration of three days, culminating in a reception to uncover the final mural piece. The show also features drawings and paintings from his “Inevitable, Inevitable, Inevitable” series, which talks about earth and its transformation.
Jorge Tellaeche lives and works in Mexico City, Mexico. His biotic line work and vibrant bright, pastel colors consists of a combustible: a lively interpretation of dreamlike disorderly landscapes.
“I Will Stay Here... A Little Bit Longer" follows recent exhibitions curated by COED Contemporáneo, a curatorial initiative authored by Lara Balderrama and Alejandro Jassan, to foster the cultural exchange between Latin America and the United States.
